Gann is one that is often mentioned in articles and discussions along with Elliott Wave. http://www.solarmatrix.com/ is largely devoted to W.D.Gann’s methods. It contains much useful information in the 29 rules in the Gann Online Lessons, such as the Rules of the Trend Line Indicator, which talks about buying at double or triple bottoms, Selling at Double or Triple Tops, and more. Articles on W.D.Gann may also be found in the 15 issues of the Fibonacci Trader Journal that is online at http://www.fibonaccitrader.com. http://www.tradingfives.com/ has a chapter from Trading The Square of Nine book available in .pdf format. There are more than a dozen articles at http://www.pvtpointmktres.com. The newsletter from http://www.lambertganneducators.com/ carries an article each month explaining how to apply the methodology. The http://www.wdgann.com/ site has a few articles. http://www.gann.co.uk/ will email us a free Gann lesson after we have registered. Astrology Bill Meridian has a history of stock market astrology at his site http://www.billmeridian.com. There are more than a dozen other articles that explain how the stars affect the stock market. Perhaps the best known predictive model is that of Donald Bradley. Developed in the late 1940’s it is still used by many to predict turning points in the stock market. It is considered unreliable on whether the turning points are highs or lows and even less reliable as to the extent of the move after the turn. It is best at long and medium term predictions. There are several variations of Bradley’s model. Patrick Mikula at http://www.mikulaforecasting.com/ developed one to work in the short-term. http://www.siriusinvestor.com/ has more information on the Bradley model. http://www.astroecon.com/ monthly commentary has been discontinued but it may still be possible to obtain the dozen lessons contained in Basic Astro Training For Traders at the site. http://www.gannelliottwaver.com/ has a Trader’s Calendar with a brief comment on the alignment of planets. Astrological forecasts are related to cycles and patterns of human behavior. http://www.mmacycles.com/ has brief information on this and http://www.calendarresearch.com/ carries the subject further with its spiral calendar and solunar model. http://www.afund.com/ has predictions for the year. http://www.bullandbearwise.com/ also has an astrological forecast for the year. Program Trading Program Trading is the trading of a basket of at least 15 stocks with a total value of $1 million or more. Very little free education is available about program trading, which has grown considerably over recent years and now often accounts for more than 50% of the volume traded. The New York Stock Exchange at http://www.nyse.com, reports weekly program trading statistics in its Market Information section. It is not something that we will use but it is something we should be aware of when timing the entry and exit of our investments. http://www.programtrading.com/ and http://www.indexarb.com/ explain program trading, arbitrage and Fair Value. The former site also provides information about stock selection and daily premium execution levels. Advanced traders will watch the premium to guide their own trading. The Program Trading Research section of http://www.programtrading.com/ has an explanation of Nasdaq Level II. This explanation is also available through http://www.daytrading.about.com. Back
